Instructions on Paying Online -
For Renewing Car Tags Online
- From the County's homepage, Click the "Pay Taxes" Icon or click here: Online Vehicle Renewal Registration
- Choose "Click Here to Renew Vehicle Registration"
- Choose "Accept"
- If a box pops up that says "First Time Here?"
- Click " Don't Show this again" or "Close"
- In the Search box type your last name (space) first name (ie. "lastname firstname")
- Your name should appear in the list below the search bar with the vehicle year, make, model
- Select "View" in the line of the vehicle you would like to renew
- You will be prompted to enter your TAG NUMBER, then "Submit"
- Click "Add to Cart"
- Choose "Secure Checkout"
- Choose your method of payment by clicking on the icon:
- Credit (convenience fee of 2.95%) Minimum of $2.95
- Debit ( Convenience fee of 1.15%) Minimum of $1.00, or
- E-check **NEW OPTION** (only costs $1.50 no matter the amount of taxes being paid).
- Complete the required fields (varies depending on payment method)
- You will get a payment receipt, and the tag (or Decal) will be mailed to the address we have on record the following day.
- NOTE: If your address is different than what we have in the system, you will need to contact our office to change the address BEFORE renewing.
Moving to a New County
The recommendation is that the owner wait until renewal time and go into the tax collector’s office and give the new location information and receive a new tag. If the owner wants a new tag immediately, then they can go into the tax collector’s office with their tag, pay a sub-tag fee, and receive a sub tag with the new county name on it. The renewal month will stay the same.
