Command Staff
The Jackson County Sheriff's Department Command Staff provides leadership, guidance and support to the hundreds of officers that serve your community. In addition, they serve the citizens of Jackson County by standing ready to hear their concerns and address issues of great importance to the safety and security of our great county. Our Command Staff believes in leading by example, and it is through their integrity, love of community and desire for transparency that they provide these examples to both the officers that serve, as well as the community at large.

Mike's experience includes:
- 35 years as a police officer
- Assigned to the FBI Office for 3 years
- Worked in every area of law enforcement; reserves, jail, patrol, traffic, and detectives
Mike's father was a veteran of the Pascagoula Police Department. Growing up, Mike has sought to make his family and community proud of his career accomplishments, which he has dedicated to his father, S H. Buck Ezell.
