Melton Harris is a native of Grenada County. He is married to the former Portia J. Martini of Moss Point.
Together, they have three children, Donise, Marcus and Melani. Harris is a member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church
Education:
Harris graduated from Carrie Dotson High School in 1965.
He earned a degree in mathematics and physics from Tougaloo College.
Professional:
He was elected the JC Board Vice-President for 2010
Melton Harris served as a Military Policeman in United States Army during the Vietnam Era and was honorably discharged.
He retired from Chevron Refinery in 1999.
