Jackson County Small Craft Harbor Wait List Renewal Deadline is January 31, 2012

The Jackson County Small Craft Harbor Office in Ocean Springs is reminding the more than ninety boat owners who are currently on the wait list for a boat slip, that they need to come in by Jan. 31, 2012 to re-sign their wait list card and pay their $5.00 annual fee in order to remain on the list for 2012.  Boat owners can make their renewals at the Harbor Office throughout the month of January during regular business hours.  Anyone who has not renewed by the end of the business day on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 will be taken off the list.         
For more information about the JC Small Craft Harbor visit the County’s website, www.co.jackson.ms.us under “Departments”, or contact the Harbor Office at 228-872-5754 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. The Harbor is located at 1310 Harbor Road in Ocean Springs.

Road Advisories in Jackson County

Portion of Hwy 613 in big Point closed July 14-21

Highway 613 near the Temple Baptist Church will be closed to traffic due to railroad restructuring. The work began today, July 14th and is scheduled to be completed late on July 21st.  Drivers are asked to drive slowly in the work area and remain alert. The repairs were requested by the Jackson County Board of Supervisors and is being paid for by the State of Mississippi.

Highway 57 between Hwy 90 and Old Spanish Trail closed July 15-21

Highway 57 between Highway 90 and Old Spanish Trail will be closed beginning Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 6:30 a.m. through Monday, July 21, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. A county contractor will be performing street repairs associated with the Old Highway 57 Project.
