Jackson County Supervisor Melton Harris will gave the official “2011 State of the County” address on Wednesday, January 26 at the Pascagoula Rotary Club.
“My address focused on the pillars of strength which form the foundation of our county government,” Harris said. “These pillars are county finances, public safety, roads, recreation, and economic development. Altogether, I touched on 20 topics.”
Following a long standing tradition with the Pascagoula Rotary Club, this was the first presentation of the State of the County in 2011.
“The first major responsibility of the Board President is to prepare the annual State of the County address. I’m honored to present this address and share my vision of the County as we start this New Year,” Harris said.
Supervisor Harris was elected president of the Board at the Jan. 4, 2011 meeting by his fellow supervisors.
