Jackson County will celebrate EARTH DAY by hosting its 10^th Annual  “Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day” Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 8 a.m. - Noon in the Singing River Mall Parking Lot. This free turn-in will allow Jackson County residents to dispose of household hazardous waste properly.

The Jackson County Board of Supervisors proclaimed April 15 – April 19 as Homemaker Volunteer Week in recognition of the community service and continued education the organization has donated over the past eight decades.

The Jackson County Board of Supervisors held a ribbon cutting at the St. Martin Hurricane Shelter (Safe House) on Wednesday, March 6 at 10 a.m.. County residents joined the Supervisors, MEMA and other emergency operation representatives at the event celebrating one of the largest public safety projects the County has undertaken.

Jackson County Board of Supervisors 2013 President Mike Mangum presented the official “2013 State of the County” address on Wednesday, January 30 at the Pascagoula Rotary Club.
