Jackson County will celebrate EARTH DAY by hosting its 11th Annual “Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day” Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 8 a.m. - Noon in the Singing River Mall Parking Lot. The Jackson County Board of Supervisors recognized Ms. Geraldine Barnes for her 25 years of service on the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Board Trustees during their board meeting on January 13.
More than 50 people attended a ribbon cutting on Nov. 19 to mark the official opening of the new Highway Patrol/Driver’s License Office in Gautier on Highway 57. The $254,900 facility is 2,000 square feet with a waiting area that will accommodate 36 people. The building, which replaces the Pascagoula office, has actually been open for business to the public for driver’s license testing and issuance for the past couple weeks.
