Jackson County starts “Flood Damage Report” phone line

 

Jackson County’s Emergency Management Office is starting a special “Flood Damage Report” phone line tomorrow morning (April 1) at 8 am. The local number is 228-769-3012.

 

Callers will hear a short recording asking for their name, address, contact phone number, and how much water came into their home or business. The special phone line is for all Jackson County citizens who sustained flood damage since March 27, 2009. The phone line will be available 24 hours a day.

 

The information collected on this phone line will be used by the County’s Emergency Management staff to find homes or businesses with unreported or overlooked flood damage. The County currently estimates 155 homes were damaged as a result of last weekend’s severe weather and flooding.
