JC Road Dept. announces road closure in Tanner Williams Community

 

Jackson County’s Road Department will close a seven mile stretch of Stateline Road in Tanner Williams Community on Monday, March 2.

 

Stateline Rd. will be closed from Tanner Williams Road to Highway 614 weekdays from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. for one month as crews install new drainage culverts under the roadway.

 

Only residential traffic will be allowed to access the road during construction times. All other commuter traffic must detour around the improvement project using either Grand Bay Wilmer Road or Highway 613. Crews will place detour road signs for drivers on Monday.

 

All drivers are asked to use caution around this construction site.  Pay special attention to traffic signs, road workers and heavy equipment. This is third roadway drainage project the County has undertaken in 2009.
