Supervisors start 2009 honoring longest servicing employees

The Jackson County Board of Supervisors started their first meeting of the New Year by celebrating its longest servicing employees. The Board honored 36 employees who reached their 20th anniversary or higher with the County in the last year. Supervisors presented each employee with a certificate marking their anniversary and position.

The two longest service employees honored were Michael Robichaux with the Sheriff’s Department and Jackie Fortner in the Circuit Clerk’s Office. Both have serviced Jackson County’s residents for more than 35 years. Altogether, the County employs more than 700 workers throughout its five districts.
