It's the Jackson County Fair and it's here the 3rd week of October every year!

The Jackson County Fair is a week long annual event. The Fair is held at the Jackson County Fairgrounds,and there is something for everyone!

Sunday, October 18 (Opening Day)
7 A.M. – 6 P.M. – Commercial Booth Set up
10 A.M. – 6 P.M. Livestock entries
1 P.M. - 6 P.M. Arts/crafts entries
5 P.M. - Fair OPENS with rides and shows

Monday, October 19
8 A.M. - 9 P.M. - Livestock and arts/crafts entries
9 A.M. – 9 P.M. - Civic Center open (Mon-Sat)
11 A.M. - Kiddie Land open
4 P.M. - Rides and Shows open
6 P.M. - Impact Show Choir

Tuesday, October 20 (Family Night)
9 A.M. – 7 P.M. – Judging in arts building – closed to public
9 A.M. ‑ Judging for crops, poultry, rabbits, goats & veggies
9 A.M. - Civic Center open
11 A.M. - Kiddie Land open
4 P.M. - Family Night (ride prices reduced)
4 P.M. ‑ Cattle judging and steer auction
5 P.M. - Studio of Dance (Civic Center)
6 P.M. - East Park Elementary Choir (Civic Center)
7 P.M. ‑ Robin Adams’ School of Dance (Civic Center)
8 P.M. ‑ Karate meet (Civic Center)

Wednesday, October 21
9 A.M. - Civic Center, Barn and Arts Bldg open
4 P.M. - Rides (including Kiddie Rides) and Shows open
6 P.M. – Horse Riding Events (Barn)
7 P.M. - Jazz Band (Outside Stage)

Thursday, October 22 (Old Settlers Day)
9 A.M. - Old Settlers Day (National Guard Armory)
9 A.M. - Civic Center, Barn and Arts Bldg open
4 P.M. - Rides (including Kiddie Rides) and Shows open
7 P.M. - Square Dance Exhibition (Outside Stage)

Friday, October 23 (Children’s Day & Midnight Madness)
9 A.M. - Civic Center, Barn and Arts Bldg open
11 A.M.- 5 P.M. Children’s Day (prices reduced)
6 P.M. – Horse Riding Event (Barn)
7 P.M. - Gospel Music - “The Four of Us” (Civic Center)
11 P.M. – 2 A.M. - Midnight Madness (Price: $20)

Saturday, October 24
9 A.M. - Civic Center, Barn and Arts Bldg open
9:30 A.M. - Dog Show registration for JC youth (Nat’l Guard Armory)
10 A.M. - Rides and shows open
4 P.M. - Jackson Co. Idol Talent (Civic Center)
6 P.M. - Julie Black Cloggers (Fair Hall Tent)
7 P.M. - Moss Point High School Choir

Sunday, October 25 (Final Day)
7 A.M. - Pick up commercial booths/barn exhibits
10 A.M. -Pick up for Arts/Crafts

Super Sunday Armbands:
12:30 – 4:30 P.M. - Rides open (1st armbands $20)
5:00 P.M. – 9 P.M. – Rides open (2nd armbands $20)

Monday, October 26
8 A.M. -Pick up art exhibits

2009 Fair Deadlines
Livestock must to be registered by 9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19 for competition.
All arts and crafts need to be entered by 9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19 for competition.
All Barn exhibits must be picked up by 3 p.m. on Oct. 25
All Art and crafts must be picked up by 6 p.m. on Oct 26
