Maintenance

The Maintenance Department's hard work and dedication is on display every day across 72 county buildings.  The Department has a staff of 51 full time and four part-time employees who support 52 departments. The staff includes carpenters, electricians, heating and air conditioning specialists, painters, plumber, maintenance workers, laborers, grounds men, mechanic, housekeepers and janitors.

Maintenance staff also provides support and services at most of the County's special events.  From painting shovels gold for groundbreakings to setting up chairs for a a public event, the Maintenance staff is there.

Responsibilities:

• Construction of new buildings
  
• Remodeling and preventive maintenance repairs to all buildings
  
• Building and finishing office furniture
  
• Painting interior and exteriors of buildings
  
• Installation and preventive maintenance of heating and air conditioning, electrical, plumbing
  
• Housekeeping
  
• Landscaping, routine lawn care
  
• Preventive maintenance and repairs to county vehicles
