Port of Pascagoula - Mississippi's Largest Port
The Port of Pascagoula has been a major economic generator for Jackson County for decades. More than 28 million tons of cargo move through the public and private terminals each year. The 42 ft. deep Pascagoula Ship Channel is a 14 mile transit from the Gulf of Mexico into the port's two harbors, the Bayou Casotte Harbor and the Pascagoula River Harbor. Major cargoes through the public terminals include forest and paper products, frozen poultry, rubber, grains and steel.
